The Proposed Project Will Support the Us Portion of Work Under an International Jaxa Flight Experiment [1] to Investigate the: (i) Properties of Liquid Phase and Super Cooled Metal Oxides Using the Electrostatic Levitation Furnace (ELF) on the International Space Station (ISS) and (II) Atomic Structure Using Ground-based Synchrotron and Neutron Studies. the Project Is Planned in Three Phases. in the First Phase Mdi Will Make and Characterize Barium Oxide Titanium Dioxide Binary Composition Samples to Be Launched on HTV-8 in MID-2019. the Subsequent Phases Will Implement Flight Experiments to Measure Thermophysical Properties Characterize Materials Analyze Data and Publish Results.
