The Primary Objective of the Proposed Work Is to Refine and Enhance the Nasa Eos Modis and S-NPP Viirs Cryosphere Algorithms and Data Products. Specifically We Will Develop Algorithm Refinements to Increase the Accuracy of Snow-cover Sea Ice Cover and Ice Surface Temperature (IST) Products Reduce Errors of Commission and Omission and Reduce Instances of Cloud/snow Confusion. We Also Plan to Develop Cloud Gap-filled Data Layers for the Snow Products. Other Plans Include Development of a Layer of Sea Ice Concentration and Global Lake Ice.
