This Proposed Work Is to Provide Expert Services to Initiate Coordinate Manage and Provide Overall Leadership for the Activities of the IG3IS Scientific Planning and Advisory Team. There Are Two Principle Areas for These Activities: 1) to Develop Promote Communicate and Guide the Ongoing Maintenance and Evolution of the IG3IS Ip and 2) to Initiate Plan Manage and Guide Demonstration Projects Under the IG3IS Objective Areas and to Assist in the Delivery and Translation of the Output of These Projects. These Services Will Be Conducted in Consultation and Coordination With the Wmo Secretariat Its Advisory Bodies and Nasa Scientists and Program Leadership. These Activities Will Concentrate on Promoting the Use of Atmospheric Measurements and Demonstrated Research Successes in the Area of Atmospheric Sciences Toward Achieving Four IG3IS Objectives 1) Work With Nations to Improve National GHG Emission Inventories and Their Trends 2) Support GHG Mitigation Efforts of Cities and Other Non-nation State Actors 3) Detection and Quantification of Large Unknown Industrial Methane Emissions in Support of Reducing These Emissions and 4) Support for the Unfccc Global Stock Take and Enhanced Transparency With Respect to Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCS) for Anthropogenic Emissions and Removals. the Output and Impact of the Proposed Work Will Be 1) the First Release of the IG3IS Implementation Plan 2) Initiation of a Set of IG3IS Demonstration Projects Under the IG3IS Objective Areas 3) Continued Advocacy and Gathering of Support for IG3IS With Wmo Member Countries International Sponsors Such as Development Banks International Funds and Foundations and With Complementary International Initiatives Intending to Develop Tools and Useful Indicators in Support of Successful Implementation of GHG Mitigation Goals. This Will Be Accomplished Through Communications Publications Presentations and Participation in International Meetings as Well as Preparation and Submission of Proposals.
