Purpose: Vapor Cell Technologies (VCT) Seeks to Produce Advanced Dimensional Metrology Tools for Modern Semiconductor Fabrication Equipment to Minimize the Gap in the Physical-digital Divide, Amplifying the Accuracy of Digital Twins in the Transferability, Production, and Sustainment of Semiconductor Products. Activities to Be Performed: Awardee Will Construct Novel Displacement Measurement Tools That Are Traceable to the Si Meter Based on High Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) Technologies. Expected Outcomes: the Technology Will Enable More Precise, Accurate and Repeatable Production of Semiconductor Chips. Intended Beneficiaries: U.s. Microelectronics Supply Chain. Subrecipient Activities: the Recipient Plans to Subaward Funds for Joint Demonstrations of Precision Atomic Spectroscopy, to Develop Production Software, to Create Demonstration Boards and for Software Engineering Consultancy.
