Purpose: Icarus Quantum, Inc.s Project Is Developing Efficient and Noise-free Excitation Quantum Dots (QDS) for On-demand Quantum Light Generation. QDS Are Used as Mediators Between Microwave and Optical Photons, as Well as On-demand Sources of Single Photons for Quantum Networking Applications.activities to Be Performed: During Phase I, a Method Will Be Developed That Will Result in Efficient and Noise-free Excitation of the Quantum Dots. This Will Result in a Compact and Turnkey On-demand Single and Entangled Photon Source, Enabling Repeater-based Quantum Networking and Distributed Quantum Computing.expected Outcomes: Technology Development Under This Phase I Will Be to Eliminate the Required Precise Polarization or Frequency Filtering and Thus Reducing the Collection Efficiency QDS Systems.intended Beneficiaries: the Awardee's Intended Beneficiaries Are the Quantum Communications Market. This Is a Rapid Accelerating Growing Market.subrecipient Activities: No Consultants, Contracts and Subawards Will Be Used in Phase I.
