Purpose: Higherri Optics, Inc Project Is Divided in Two Components. First, Develop a Quantitative Calibration of Any High-performance Imaging System and, Second, Image Processing to Mitigate the Imaging Imperfections and Realize a True Image of the Object Under Investigation Thus Improving the Resolution Limit of Practically Any Imaging System.activities to Be Performed: During Phase I, a Calibration Test Standard Will Be Developed Specially Designed to Possess a Constant Inherent Power Spectral Density (PSD) and Data Processing Algorithm for Image Contrast Reconstruction.expected Outcomes: Technology Development Under This Phase I Will Be to Understand the Real Performance Challenges of an Imaging System and Develop Methods and Techniques for Image Processing to Increase the Degree of Confidence of the Extracted Information.intended Beneficiaries: the Awardees Intended Beneficiaries Are Any Fields That Today Rely Upon Imaging Systems, Including Medicine, Science, Manufacturing, and Defense.subrecipient Activities: the Project Will Be Led in Collaboration With Two Subcontractors With State of the Art Facilities for Image Characterization.
