Cooperative Agreement for the New York Cybersecurity Workforce Accelerator (with Npower): Purpose: in Partnership With the City University of New York (CUNY) and Npower's Tech Employer Partners, Npower Will Spearhead the Creation of a Regional Alliance Aimed at Producing a Diversified Cybersecurity Workforce. the Project Aims to Enhance Ties Among the Cybersecurity Education, Training, and Employment Stakeholders in New York by Utilizing Npower's Current It Workforce Training Programs, Staff, and Relationships. the Intended Goal of the Project Is to Expose Low-income and the Underserved Populations to Careers Within the Cybersecurity, to Up Skill Current Talent, to Facilitate Job Placements of Current Graduates, and Foster Engagement Within Cybersecurity Sectors.activities to Be Performed: the Proposed Project Includes Strengthening Community Partnerships That Will Provide Opportunities for Participants to Explore Opportunities in Cybersecurity. in Addition, the Proposed Project Will Diversify the Cybersecurity Talent Pipeline, Provide Employment Opportunities, and Engagement for Continued Education. the Project Activities Will Be Documented and Disseminated Across the U.s and With Local Stakeholders. Expected Outcomes: Success in Project Will Result in the Increase Cybersecurity Job Placements, Certifications for Trainees, and Degree Completion. Other Intended Outcomes Are to Strengthen Partnerships Between the Local Ecosystem's Talent Pools, Cybersecurity Employers, and Trainers. the Project Will Provide Opportunities for Individuals to Enhance Their Skills for Career Advancement Within the Cybersecurity Workforce. Intended Beneficiaries: the Public Will Be Provided With Opportunities to Explore Careers Within the Cybersecurity Workforce. Participants Will Attend Workshops and Trainings for Continued Education and Receive Specialized Certifications. Through These Trainings, Participants Will Gain Hands-on Experience and Receive Foundational Skills to Pursue Cybersecurity Opportunities. Subrecipient Activities: There Are No Planned Subawards.
