Purpose: Using Its Analytical Instrument Massbox That Offers Rapid, High-sensitivity Measurements of Additive Manufacturing (AM) Feedstock Powders and Printed Parts, in Phase Ii, Exum Plans to Build on Its Phase I Research Effort by Performing Long-term Testing and Evaluation of the Massboxs Performance and Analytical Capabilities, and Evaluation and Improvement of the Instruments Robustness, Reliability, and Usability to Accelerate Adoption by the Metal Am Industry.activities to Be Performed: During Phase Ii, Exum Plans to Test, Evaluate, and Further Develop Its Massbox for Commercial Applications in the Additive Manufacturing Industry.expected Outcomes: Technology Development Under This Phase Ii Will Progress the Massbox Toward Replacing the Multiple Analytical Instruments Currently Required for Chemical Testing of Am Materials. the 24-MONTH Project Will Facilitate Long-term Testing and Evaluation of the Massboxs Performance and Analytical Capabilities. This Includes Further Development of Its Chemical Mapping Capabilities and Establishing Test Methods for Specific Am Materials.
