Title: Local Health Alert System (lhas): Closing the Loop From Supply Chains to Public Health to Prevent Disease and Bolster Supply Chain Resiliencypurpose: the Purpose of This Grant Is to Develop a Privacy-protecting Contact Tracing Mobile Application That Leverages Privacy Blockchain Technologies and Is Compatible With Incentives Offerings to Develop a Localized Health Alert System That Will Help Predict and Mitigate Pandemic Supply Chain Surge Demands. Activities to Be Performed: the Project Team Will Develop the Technical Architecture, Including Blockchain Implementation, Software Development, Mobile Application Design and Development, and Cloud Integration for the Localized Health Alert System Piloted. the Project Team Will Also Conduct Research and Development for Distributed Identifiers and Verifiable Credentials, Develop Economic Incentives Models and Field Test Multi-phase Funding Models and Market Mechanisms. the Project Team Will Engage Industry to Support Implementation of the Technology After the Application Is Developed and Develop Architectures for Integration With Wearable Technologies.expected Outcomes: This Project Should Advance Passive Contact Tracing Technology That Protects Privacy of the Participants. Data Gathered Using the Technology Will Close the Loop Between Disease Detection and Supply Chain Demand Estimates, Translating Real Time Public Health Indicators Into Future Product Demand Signals for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Testing Supplies and Increase Accuracy in Predicting Local Supply Chain Needs and Surges. Intended Beneficiaries: Manufacturers and Regional Healthcare Systems Will Benefit by Linking Data From Disease Detection With Regional Supply Chain Demand Estimates, Ensuring Greater Agility in Shifting Supplies to Points of Emerging Need During Coronavirus Outbreaks. Subrecipient Activities: the Recipient Plans to Subaward Funds to Bring Industry Leading Technologies and Personnel on Blockchain Technology, Incentive Modeling, and Public Health Expertise and Valuable Potential Downstream Partnerships Together to Work on This Project.
