The Project Will Conduct Environmental Review, Final Design, and Construction to Upgrade Track Infrastructure, Expand Capacity of the Newark Yard, and Install Trespass Prevention Measures on the Columbus and Ohio River Rail Road Company (cuoh). the Project Will Result in a State of Good Repair and Deliver Safety, Economic Competitiveness, and Environmental Sustainability Benefits by Improving the Track Infrastructure, Expanding Capacity at the Newark Yard, and Enhancing Safety Through the Installation of Trespass-mitigation Measures and Equipment Defect Detectors. the Goal of the Project Is to Enhance Cuohs Ability to Support the Communities of Central and Eastern Ohio by Reducing Existing Slow Orders by an Anticipated 75 Percent (from 12.8 Miles to an Expected Post-project of Less Than 3.2 Miles) and to Provide a Resilient Infrastructure for Reliable Rail Service and Future Growth. the Estimated Total Project Cost Is $19,800,300, of Which Ordc Will Contribute $1,750,000 and Cuoh Will Contribute $5,180,000 -- Overall a 35% Non-federal Match.deliverables Expected Outcomes:task 1 Project Administration and Management: Project Management Plan and Final Performance Report.task 2 Environmental Review - Categorical Exclusion Task 3 - Final Design - Final Design Packageintended Beneficiary: the Primary User of the Project Will Be Cuoh, While the Primary Beneficiaries Include Cuoh and Its Customers, CSXT, NS, Other Connecting Railroads, and the Regions Transportation Network.
