This Action Approves an Award in the Amount of $2,000,000 to Support Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) Smart Grant Program. the Purpose of This Award Is to Lead the Nation in Building an Economically Sustainable Model and Deployment of Cellular-vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) Technology, Which Is a Form of Connected Vehicle Technology. the Activities to Be Performed Include Creating a Long-term Vision for Rcoc?s C-V2X Ecosystem Is to Create an Economically Sustainable System Rather Than One That Relies on Future Taxpayer Funding. the Expected Outcome Is That This Project Will Provide Rcoc With a C-V2X Ecosystem That Is Both Extensible and Scalable That Paves the Way for a Successful Deployment During a Stage 2 Implementation That Encompasses Additional Use Cases and an Expanded Geographic Area. the Intended Beneficiaries Will Be the Citizens in Oakland County There Are No Subaward Activities in This Project.
