Award Purpose the Project Will Fund the Design and Permitting of an Extensive Duct Bank System That Will Be Used to House Power Cables and Fiber Optic Lines That Will Provide Power and Related Communication to Port Everglades Port Eight 8 Cruise Ship Berths. Activities to Be Performed the Project Consists of One Component With the Following Elements Pre-design Phase Services Review and Utilization of Available Information Including the Recent Port Master Plan Update Topographic Surveys Utility Atlas Files Geographic Information System Data and Fuel Pipeline Drawings to Understand the Site and Plan the Appropriate Investigations and Surveys Moving Forward. Necessary Site Investigations and Site Surveys in Support of the Design Phase Services to Include But Not Be Limited to a Corridor Survey Along the Path of the Proposed Duct Bank Subsurface Utility Engineering Investigations Along the Path of the Proposed Duct Bank and Geotechnical Explorations as Needed for Project Design. in Collaboration With Broward County Conduct Pre Design Workshops With Project Stakeholders for the Purpose of Establishing Project Design and Construction Parameters Including, But Not Limited to Port Operational Equipment Site Access and Traffic Flow Port Security Protocols Project Budgets and Project Timelines. Prepare a Pre Design Report PDR to Contain a Basis of Design That Documents the Principles Assumptions Rationale Criteria and Considerations Used for Calculations and Decisions Required During Design. the PDR Will Include a Project Execution Plan to Address the Method of Execution and Schedules for the Delivery of the Project. the PDR Shall Also Include: an Analysis of Capital and Maintenance Costs Anticipated Construction Timelines and a Recommended Construction Methodology That Minimizes Traffic Impacts and Impacts to Port Operations. Design Phase Services Investigation and Design Related to Electrical Duct Bank Subsurface Utility Civil Structural Utility and Geotechnical Engineering. the Design of Approximately 20000 Linear Feet of Concrete Encased Duck Bank With Manholes Placed Approximately Every 500 to 800 Feet. Structural Design Necessary to Support the Proposed Ductbank Features If Necessary. Estimates of Probable Construction Cost and Construction Timelines at Various Stages of Design. Prepare Contracting Requirements General Requirements Detailed Construction Drawings and Technical Specifications. the Shore Power System Design Shall Be in Accordance With International Electrotechnical Iec Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Ieee 80005 1 2 Standards Along With Local Code Requirements Including National Electrical Code Nec National Building Code NBC Occupational Safety and Health Administration Osha State of Florida and Florida Power and Light FPL Requirements. Permitting Phase Services File for All Required Federal State County and Municipal Permits for This Shore Power Project. Submit Construction Documents to Building Departments of the City of Fort Lauderdale and City of Hollywood Florida for Purposes of Obtaining Pre Permit Approvals So That Any Permits That the Contractor Needs to Obtain Will Not Be Delayed or Cause Last Minute Design Changes.
