Award Purpose the Project Will Fund the Purchase of Four Modern Fuel Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Forklifts a 275 Ton Cable Crane to Load Unload Unitized Cargo Onto Barges and a Barge Winch System to Load Unload Unitized Cargo Onto Barges. This Equipment Will Be Located at the ST. Louis Port Authoritys Municipal River Terminal MRT Americas Central Port Acp Granite City Il and the Madison Harbor Madison Il Activities to Be Performed the Scope of This Project Consists of Three Components Component 1 the Purchase of a Used 2001 or Newer 275 Ton Manitowoc Cable Crane or Equivalent With a Minimum 180 Boom and a Lower Emission Energy Efficient Engine. a Crane of This Size Will Allow the Recipient to Load Unload Barges in a Much Safer Faster and More Efficient Manner Significantly Reducing Truck Dwell Time and Crane Movement Time. This Crane Will Be Located at the MRT on the Missouri Side of the River. Component 2 the Purchase of a Barge Winch System to Safely and Efficiently Load Unload Cargo Onto Barges. This Equipment Will Also Be Located at the MRT on the Missouri Side of the River. Component 3 the Purchase of Four Technology Advanced Fuel Efficient and Environmentally Friendly Forklifts. Two of These Forklifts Will Be Located at the MRT on the Missouri Side of the River and the Other Two Will Be Located on the Illinois Side of the River at Acp and the Madison Harbor Respectively.
