Federal grant · project grant (b)
Purpose: the Purpose of This Grant Is to Quantify the Fire Hazard and Spread Characteristics From Electric Vehicles (EVS) in Parking Structures to Inform Fire Protection Requirements.activities to Be Performed: This Effort Addresses the Testing and Analysis of Fire Test Data, With a Specific Focus on the Use of Automatic Sprinklers as the Primary Fire Protection Approach. Fire Test Will Be Conducted on Four Full-scale Evs in Simulated Parking Structures. Two Baseline Experiments Without Sprinklers and Two Experiments With Sprinklers Will Be Performed.expected Outcomes: the Outcome Will Include Critical Data to Characterize the Hazard of Evs and Data to Understand the Performance of Sprinkler Protection at the Current Design Sprinkler Hazard Classifications to Inform the Assessment of the Adequacy of Current Building and Fire Codes and Standards and Substantiation for Potential Updates. Intended Beneficiaries: This Data Will Be Made Publicly Available and Be of Broad Use by the Following Stakeholder Communities: Engineers, Designers, Fire Service, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, Government Bodies, Codes and Standards Technical Committees, Facility Owners or Managers, Insurers, Among Others.subrecipient Activities: Rise, Risefr and Cse Are Authors of the Proposal and Have Budget Lines in the Proposal. Each Organization Will Work Throughout the Project to Generate and Author Relevant Research Data.

Everything here is this single award's whole record — signed, amended, paid — not a fiscal-year slice. The by-year charts elsewhere split an award across the years it was committed; this page keeps it whole.
Committed is what the government has legally promised on this award so far. Contracts can also carry a ceiling — the maximum if every option is exercised. Unspent ceiling is headroom, not money owed.
The cash actually disbursed against this award. The gap from committed is the disbursement pipeline: promised, not yet cashed.
Each transaction is a signing event — an action that created or changed the award, dated the day it was signed — not a payment. Negative amounts are real: money de-committed at closeout or renegotiation.
One bar, the award’s whole arithmetic: paid out, then committed, not yet paid, then .
