Purpose: the Purpose of This Grant Is to Develop a Digital Collaborative Evacuation Decision-making Tool to Assist Wildland-urban Interface Fire Stakeholders in Emergency Management and Response.activities to Be Performed: the Following Activities Will Be Performed. First an Analysis of Stakeholder Needs Will Be Conducted Through Fact-finding and Interviews With Stakeholders Including Expert Input. Two Workshops Will Be Held With Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders to Validate Fact-findings and Identify Design Variations. Target End Users Will Be Asked for Their Views on Various Design Variations. the Results Will Be Captured and Form the Basis for the Wui-show Visualizer Interface and the Output It Produces. Specifications Will Be Produced on the VR Capability Required to Meet Stakeholder Needs. the Vr-based Renderer for the Wui-nity Platform Scenario Data Including Development of Routines for Scenario Data Visualization, Dynamic Information Display, and Interactivity Will Be Implemented in a Multi-touch Table Prototype and Tested.expected Outcomes: the Expected Outcome Is an Interactive VR Render Tool That Will Allow the Results of the Wui-nity Platform for Decision-making During Emergency Management or Evacuation Modeling to Be Interactively Presented. the So-called Wui-show Will Be the First Project to Provide the Software and Hardware Able to Display a Scientifically Based Representation of Wildland-urban Interface Fire Evacuation. It Is Expected That This Project Will Allow Improved Evacuation Planning and Emergency Response by Providing Accessible Information on Wildfire Evacuation to Stakeholders. in Addition, the Project Can Have a Long-term Positive Impact in Reducing Human Losses by Facilitating Emergency Communication and Training in Case of Wildfires.intended Beneficiaries: Emergency Managers and Other Community Planning Personnel Would Benefit From the Powerful Tools to Plan and Visualize More Robust Emergency Evacuations and Wildfire Response. the Public at Large Will Benefit From Improved Emergency Evacuation and Shelter Options During Wildfire Events.subrecipient Activities: the Fire Protection Research Foundation Is the Lead and Responsible for Project Management, the Project Advisory Panel and Dissemination and Exploitation of the Project Results.
