Purpose: the Purpose of This Grant Is to Fund Part of the Consumer Products Safety Commission Led National Smoke and Co Alarm Household Survey and Provide a Preliminary Analysis of the Data. Overall, the Project Seeks to Provide a Good Base of Data on This Issue for Education and Development of Codes and Standards Development to Improve the Performance of Alarms in Households. Creation of Educational Messaging to Target the Issues Found During the Survey Will Be an Important Outcome of This Effort.activities to Be Performed: the Following Activities Will Be Performed. the Remaining 53 In-home Surveys to Meet the Goals of the Nationwide Survey Design Will Be Conducted. an Analysis on the Scope and Stringency of the Smoke and Co Alarm Codes in Each Municipality That Was Conducted in the Survey Will Be Conducted to Frame the Requirements for Each Community to Be Compared to the Actual Installed Alarms. a Final Report That Includes All the Results From the Survey Will Be Delivered by the End of the Grant.expected Outcomes: the Expected Outcome Is to Gather Relevant Nationwide Data on Smoke and Co Alarm Installation, and Operational State.
