Enhanced Capacity for Cooperative Research Related to Insect Transmission of Pathogens - the National Bio and Agro Defense Facility (NBAF) Is Under Construction in Manhattan, KS and Upon Completion Will Include Research Insect Transmitted Foreign Animal Diseases. Preparations Are Underway for the Transition of the Scientific Programs to Nbaf. the United States Department of Agriculture (usda), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Has Established a New Foreign Arthropod-borne Animal Diseases Research Unit (fabadru). the Fabadru Has Established Cooperative Projects With the Cooperator. This Work Will Continue at Least During the Transition Period. Additional Equipment Is Needed for Increase Capacity and to Meet Additional Ars Assigned Research Needs.
