Purpose: the Purpose of This Grant Is to Implement the Texas Digital Equity Plan Developed Pursuant to the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program. Activities to the Performed: the Proposed Project Activities Include: Establishing a Digital Opportunity Grant Program, Maintaining a Living Digital Opportunity Plan, Growing and Sustaining the Texas Digital Opportunity Ecosystem. Expected Outcomes: the Proposed Projects Will Result in Proposed Program Outcomes Include: Improving Internet Availability/adequacy and Digital Literacy Skills for Aging Individuals, Increasing Access to Technical Support and Devices, Build Awareness of Low-cost Internet Services, Digital Literacy and Cybersecurity for English Learners and Low Levels of Literacy, Building Digital Skills and Improve Internet Reliability for Incarcerated Individuals, Increasing Internet Adoption Rates, Improve Digital Skills and Cybersecurity Awareness for Racial or Ethnic Minorities as Well as Individuals With Disabilities. Intended Beneficiaries: Residents of the State of Texas and Principally Unserved and Underserved Covered Populations Statewide. Subrecipient Activities: the Recipient Does Plan to Subaward Funds. the Purpose Is for Implementing the De Plan Activities.
