The Projects in This Agreement Support Active Forest Management Through the Use of Shared Stewardship to Complete Hazardous Fuels Reduction (including Removal of Hazard Trees That Present Federal Liability), Postfire Reforestation of Merchantable Timber, and Preparation of Forest Products for Sale by the Forest Service. the Initial Funding Obligated Under This Agreement Will Support Site Layout and Mechanical/hand Clearing of Approximately 900 Acres of Burned Area to Prepare for Replanting of Timber Species; the Purchase, Growth, and Planting of Seedlings to Replace Merchantable Timber Loss on 900 Acres; and the Creation of an Implementation Plan to Most Effectively and Efficiently Conduct the Work. Additional Scope Will Be Added as Funding Becomes Available.
