The Purpose of This New Agreement Is to Cooperate in Law Enforcement Activities With the County Sheriff in Gogebic County, Michigan on the National Forest System. This Agreement With Local Law Enforcement Is Necessary for the Collaboration of Forest Service and County Law Enforcement on National Forest System Lands (NFS Lands). It Is Recognized That Public Use of NFS Lands Is Usually Located in Areas That Are Remote or Sparsely Populated. It Is Also Recognized That the Enforcement of State and Local Law Is Related to the Administration and Regulation of NFS Lands and That the Counties Have a Limited Amount of Financing to Meet Their Responsibility of Enforcing These Laws. the Work Will Take Place in 2026 Through 2030.
