The Partner Will Utilize Inflation Reduction Act Funding for Critical Community Engagement and Cross-jurisdictional Coordination in an Effort to Reduce Hazardous Fuels Around Wildland Urban Interface in High and Very High Wildfire Risk Areas. the Partner Will Facilitate the Coordination Between Federal, State and County Land Managers, and Private Land Owners to Treat Hazardous Fuels and Increase Timber Output Across Land Ownerships at a Faster Pace and Scale Than Would Otherwise Be Possible on the Superior National Forest. This Will Lead to a Landscape More Resilient to Wildland Fire While Supporting the Local Economy Through the Removal and Sale of Timber. as Organizer, Convener, Facilitator, and Liaison Between Land Management Agencies and Additional Stakeholders, the Partner Will Organize and Hold 5 Public Meetings, Quarterly Interagency Partnership Meetings, Contribute 1200 Days of Partner Staff Time Along With 14 Days of Field Time. the Work Done Will Also Build Essential Public Awareness and Support for Fuel Reduction and Prescribed Fire Treatments Across All Land Ownerships.
