The Partner Will Work With This Agency to Secure Grants to Perform Mission Critical Work to Effectively Modify Forest Stand Densities and Fuel Conditions Across the Landscape to Protect Communities and Reduce the Risk of Widespread Habitat Loss Due to Wildfire, Insects, Disease, and Drought. the Primary Goals Are to Reduce Safety Hazards Across Public Lands, Restore Ecosystem Health and Resilience, Promote a Fire-resilient Landscape, and Maintain and Support Local Communities. Treatment Types Will Include Timber Harvesting, Biomass Removal, Mastication, Machine and Hand Piling, Hand Thinning, Herbicide Application, Targeted Grazing, Invasive Weed Control and Road Maintenance and Construction. Hazardous Fuels Acres Treated Is Projected to Be 7,000 to 10,000 Per Year Which Equates to 70,000 to 100,000 Over 10 Year Project Span and Will Yield Approximately 100 Million Board Feet Over the 10 Years . Umrwa Is Applying for Match to Support These Efforts, Leveraging Federal Funds Aligning With Executive Orders 14222 on Cost Efficiency and 14225 on Expansion of American Timber Products to Promote Forest Management and Reduce Wildfire Risk.
