This Parallel Complementary Agreement Funded With Non Ira Discretionary Appropriated Funds, Proposes to Thin Out 15,800 Tons of Timber. the Telephone Flat Timber Sale Treatments Are Located in a High Risk Fire Shed Which Is Surrounded by Two Large Stand-replacing Fire Scars. the Project Design Enhances Fuelbreaks Within and Around Recreation Sites, Areas Adjacent to Private Property, and Main Access Roads. It Targets and Reduces the Number of Lodgepole Pines Creating a Less Favorable Environment for Mountain Pine Beetle Mortality (reduced Stand Density and Heterogeneity in Tree Size, Age and Spatial Distribution).
