This Agreement Is to Support Restoration and Disaster Recovery Efforts Following the 2024 Blue 2, South Fork, and Salt Fires. Activities Include Assessment, Planning, Design, and Implementation for the Recovery of Forest Trails and Recreational Areas, Watersheds, Timber Production, and Reforestation. It Also Includes Reducing Hazardous Fuels, Management of Invasive Weeds, Conducting Environmental Services Required to Comply With Federal Laws and Regulations, and Education and Public Outreach. Work Is Being Funded With Federal Disaster Monies From the America Recovery Act for Priority Landscapes Related to Large Landscape Disturbances. Cooperation and Coordination Will Involve a Wide Range of Activities, Including, But Not Limited to Planning, Assessment, Inventory, Environmental Analysis, Engineering Survey and Design, Implementation, Habitat Restoration and Protection, Monitoring, and Other Activities Necessary to Restore the Function of Watersheds to Protect Infrastructure From Future Flooding, Increase Timber Production, Improve Public Access and Recreational Opportunities, and Protect Municipal Water Sources Vital to Rural Communities.
