The Integrated Monitoring in Bird Conservation Regions Program Represents a Strategic Utilization of Existing Resources Through a Multi-agency and Multi-organizational Framework. This Project Is to Carry Out, in Partnership, Coordinated Monitoring of Bird Populations to Generate Density and Occupancy Estimates of Birds at Spatially Balanced and Randomly Selected Sites Throughout the National Forest System in Forest Service Regions 1-4. This Includes Conducting Surveys as Part of the Integrated Monitoring in Bird Conservation Regions Program, as Well as Collaboration on Data Analysis and Development of Reports, in Accordance With Current Statutory and Regulatory Requirements. This Fiscally Responsible Approach to Bird Monitoring on National Forests and Grasslands Generates Crucial Information to Support a Range of Activities, Including Forest Management, Timber Sales (executive Order 14225), Hazardous Fuels Removals (secretarial Memo 1078-006), and Wildlife Habitat Management. by Generating Status and Trend Information From Monitoring Data, Integrated Monitoring in Bird Conservation Regions Works to Improve the Efficiency and Effectiveness of Evaluating the Impacts of Management Actions on Wildlife Habitat Objectives. the Program Surveys for Focal Species Relevant to Land Management Plans, Fulfilling Regulatory Requirements Under the National Forest Management Act (nfma), While Also Evaluating Bird Communities to Meet Statutory Responsibilities Associated With the National Environmental Policy Act.
