Project Activities Are Focused on Areas Affected by Wildfires, Which Have Experienced Nine Fires in the Past Four Years, as Well as on Roads Impacted by Atmospheric Rivers Within the National Forest System Lands. the Partner Is Tasked With the Planning, Management, and Implementation of Repairs Within the Forest Boundaries, Specifically Addressing the Effects of Both Wildfires and Atmospheric Rivers. the Scope of Work Includes, But Is Not Limited to: the Installation of Water or Erosion Control Devices, Planting for Erosion Control or Stability, Implementing Erosion Control Measures at Critical Cultural Sites, Erecting Temporary Barriers to Protect Treated or Recovering Areas, Placing Warning Signs, Replacing Minor Safety-related Facilities, Conducting Earthwork, Installing Appropriately Sized Drainage Features on Roads and Trails, Removing Critical Safety Hazards, Preventing the Permanent Loss of Habitat for Threatened and Endangered Species, Monitoring the Effectiveness of Treatments, Planting Grass to Curb the Spread of Noxious Weeds, Performing Hillslope Treatments, Mulching, Stabilizing Hazardous Materials, and Executing Road Work Activities. Specific Road Work Activities Involve the Installation of Culvert Risers, Restoration of Drainage Systems, Grading, Cleaning of Culverts, Re-establishing Existing Dips and Ditches, Installing Critical and Armored Dips, Engaging in Spot Rocking, Ditch Cleaning, Road Reconditioning, the Installation of Riprap, Earthwork Fill and Cut, Repairing Both Paved and Non-paved Surfaces Such as Potholes or Shoulders, Installing Signs and Object Markers, Clearing Vegetation, Removing Hazardous Trees Within the Right-of-way, and Conducting Other Maintenance and Reconstruction Activities Aimed at Restoring the Heavily Impacted Road Systems in the Impacted Areas.
