The Purpose of This Project Is to Provide Homeless and At-risk Veterans in Los Angeles County, Santa Barbara County, and Ventura County With Comprehensive Workforce Development Services That Promote Employment Stability and Economic Self-sufficiency. by Focusing on Career Pathways in Construction and Information Technology (it), Managed Career Solutions (MCS) Aims to Address Critical Employment Gaps While Supporting Veterans in Overcoming Barriers Such as Housing Insecurity, Mental Health Challenges, and Limited Access to Career Resources.the Grant Will Fund a Comprehensive Set of Activities Designed to Support Homeless and At-risk Veterans in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties by Providing Services That Promote Employment Stability and Economic Self-sufficiency. Activities Will Include Targeted Outreach and Recruitment Efforts in Partnership With Veteran Service Organizations, Shelters, and Community Partners to Engage Eligible Participants. Upon Enrollment, Veterans Will Receive Comprehensive Assessments and Develop Individual Employment Plans (IEPS) to Align Their Skills and Goals With High-demand Industries Such as Construction and Information Technology (it). Training Services Will Be Delivered in Partnership With Reputable Providers Like Pvjobs, Npower, and Career Expansions, Offering Certifications, and Other Industry-recognized Credentials. in Addition to Career-focused Services, Participants Will Have Access to Wrap-around Supportive Services, Including Housing Referrals, Transportation Assistance, and Mental Health Resources to Address Employment Barriers. MCS Will Also Implement Job Placement Strategies That Include Employer Engagement, Hiring Events, and Post-placement Follow-up to Ensure Long-term Success. the Intended Beneficiaries of This Project Are Homeless and At-risk Veterans Residing in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties Who Face Significant Barriers to Employment and Economic Stability. This Includes Veterans Who Are Experiencing Housing Insecurity, Mental Health Challenges, Substance Abuse Issues, or Are Justice-involved, as Well as Those With Limited Work Experience, Low Educational Attainment, or Disabilities. the Project Will Also Prioritize Serving Recently Separated Veterans (RSVS), Gulf War Era Ii Veterans, and Those Facing Challenges Related to PTSD, Trauma, or Social Isolation. the Projects Expected Outcomes Include Enrolling a Total of 150 Homeless and At-risk Veterans Across Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties. of Those Enrolled, at Least 70% Are Expected to Achieve Sustainable Employment in High-demand Industries Such as Construction and Information Technology (it). Additionally, at Least 80% of Participants Will Successfully Complete Industry-recognized Certifications, Including Osha 10 30, Comptia a , and Other Credentials Aligned With Employer Needs. the Program Will Prioritize Job Retention, Aiming for a Minimum 6-MONTH Retention Rate of 75% Among Those Placed in Employment.through a Combination of Targeted Training, Employer Engagement, and Comprehensive Wrap-around Supportive Services Such as Housing Referrals, Transportation Assistance, and Mental Health Support the Project Is Designed to Ensure Veterans Achieve Long-term Economic Stability and Career Advancement.mcs Will Partner With Trusted Subrecipients to Deliver Specialized Training and Supportive Services That Align With the Project S Goals. Career Expansions and Npower Will Provide Information Technology (IT) Training, Offering Certifications Such as Comptia a , Network , and Security , While Pvjobs and Career Expansions Will Deliver Construction Training, Including Osha 10 30 and Other Industry-recognized Credentials to Prepare Veterans for Careers in High-demand Sectors. Subrecipients Will Also Provide Critical Wrap-around Supportive Services, Such as Housing Referrals, Transportation Assistance, and Mental Health Counseling, Ensuring Participants Overcome Barriers to Employment.
