Purpose of Project: the Focus of the Workforce Resource, Inc. (WRI) HVRP Is to Assist Homeless and or At-risk of Homelessness Veterans in 39 Wisconsin Counties to Reach Their Full Employment Potential and Obtain High-quality Career Outcomes. to Achieve This Purpose, Wri Will: 1) Provide Case Management, Grounded in Two Research-based Comprehensive Case Management Processes, Trauma-screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment and Economic Mobility Pathways Mobility Mentoring and Use of the Bridge to Self-sufficiency to Identify Veterans Needs and Goals for Housing, Physical and Mental Health Well-being, Financial Management, Education and Training, and Employment 2) Develop an Individual Employment Plan, Based on Assessing Their Aptitude, Interests, Knowledge, and Skills and Identifying Employment Goals 3) Co-enroll Them in Programs to Receive Support for Job-readiness and Training in Their Chosen Field of Employment 4) Connect Them to Our Vast Array of Partners Throughout the Region to Receive Support for Housing, Basic Essentials, Healthcare, Childcare (if Needed), Transportation, and Their Other Assorted Needs and 5) Help Them to Attain and Retain Livable Wage Jobs and Family-sustaining Employment.activities Funded: Grant Funds Will Be Used to Provide Intensive and Comprehensive Case Management by Three Wri Sta to Work With Veterans in the Program (e.g., Conducting Outreach to Recruit Veterans Into the Program and Recruiting Employers to Provide Employment Implementing Intake and Assessment Procedures to Develop an Individual Employment Plan Co-enrolling Veterans in Wri S and Other Service Providers Programs and Assisting Veterans in Attaining and Retaining Employment). Grant Funds Will Also Support Training Costs for Enrolling and Training Veterans in a Variety of Program Training Options and Support Services That Are Not Provided Through Co-enrollment in Other Programs. If Needed, Funds Will Be Used to Provide Support Services, Not Available Through Co-enrollment and to Support Subsidized Employment for a Limited Time Period Prior to Placement in Unsubsidized Employment. Finally, Grant Funds May Be Used in Extreme Situations to Provide Housing Support, If Needed, But Will Be Limited to 90 Days. a Set of Standard Operating Procedures Will Be Developed Articulated How Grant Funds Will Be Used to Support Extraneous Costs Other Than Staffing Needs.intended Beneficiaries of the Project: Veterans Who Are Either Homeless or At-risk of Homelessness Currently Residing in 39 Counties in Wisconsin, in the 3RD and 7TH Congressional Districts.outcomes of the Project: Working With 90 Homeless and At-risk of Homelessness Veterans Each Year to Attain Livable and Family-sustaining Employment. Specific Annual Outcomes Are: 1) an Average Hourly Wage at Placement of $16.50 HR 2) a Placement Rate Overall of 55.9% 3) the Percentage of Enrollment Trained at 64.2% 4) the Percentage of Program Participants in Unsubsidized Employment in the 2ND Quarter After Exiting at 35% 5) the Percentage of Program Participants in Unsubsidized Employment in the 4TH Quarter After Exiting at 24.1% and 6) the Median Quarterly Earnings in the 2ND Quarter at $7000.KEY Partnerships: Foodshare Employment Training, Wisconsin-works, Transitional Jobs, Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act Stat Program Providers Including Workforce Resource, Inc. Indianhead Community Action Agency and the Center for Veteran S Issues SSVF Program Providers, 20 American Job Centers and the Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialists and Local Veteran Employer Representatives 8 Community Action Programs Workforce Development Boards in the Sda 39 County and 8 Tribal Veteran S Service Oicers 11 Homeless Coalitions and Wi S Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Oices in the Sda.
