Proposes to Have 1000 Americorps Seniors Vounteers Who Will Volunteer in Cheer Nutrition, Support Groups, Transportation, Meals on Wheels, as Center Receptionist, Kitchen Helpers, Data Entry, Non-emergency Medical Transportation, Phone-a-friend, Fitness Center Assistant, Entertainers, Cheer-a-pet, and More in Sussex County, Delaware. the Primary Focus Areas of This Project Is a Combination of Aging in Place - Independent Living, and Addressing Food Insecurity - Health Futures. at the End of the Two-year Grant, Americorps Seniors Volunteers Will Be Responsible for Enabling Seniors to Continue to Live Independently in Their Home/community and Assisting Seniors With Meals/food Either at a Senior Activity Center or Delivered to the Home of the Senior. the Americorps Federal Investment of $282,378 Will Be Supplemented by $31,565 of Non-federal Resources.
