Handson Central California, a Points of Light Affiliate for Over 68 Years and RSVP Sponsor Since 1994, Currently Operates Volunteer Initiatives in Fresno, Madera, Kings, Stanislaus, Merced, and Tulare Counties, and Strives to Fulfill Its Mission of to Inspire, Equip and Mobilize Volunteers to Serve Their Central Valley Communities With Sponsorship of an RSVP in Mariposa County. an Estimated 85 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Serve With RSVP of Mariposa County, and 75 Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of the Activities Will Include Food and Nutrition Support, Opioid and Drug Prevention, Disaster Assistance, and Supporting Other Community Priorities. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the 3 Year Grant, at Least 60 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Support Food and Nutrition Programs, 500 Individuals Will Be Served With at Least 200 Reporting Increased Food Security; 5 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Recruited and Trained to Support Opioid & Drug Intervention; 10 Unduplicated Volunteers Will Be Recruited to Support Other Community Priorities Such as Support Local Law Enforcement Agencies and Community Benefit Organizations; and 10 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Recruited and Trained to Support Disaster Services. the CNCS Federal Investment of $82,500 Will Be Supplemented by a Minimum of $9,500 of Non-federal Resources.
