Handson Central California, a Points of Light Affiliate for Over 68 Years and RSVP Sponsor Since 1994, Currently Operates in Fresno, Madera, Kings, Stanislaus, Merced, and Tulare Counties, and Strives to Fulfill Its Mission of to Inspire, Equip and Mobilize Volunteers to Serve Their Central Valley Communities With Sponsorship of an RSVP in Merced County. an Estimated 85 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Serve With RSVP of Merced County, and 75 Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of the Activities Will Include Food and Nutrition Support, Opioid and Drug Prevention, Aging in Place, Capacity Building, and Supporting Other Community Priorities. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the Three Year Grant, at Least 55 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Support Food and Nutrition Programs, 1,500 Individuals Will Be Served With at Least 1,000 Reporting Increased Food Security; 5 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Recruited and Trained to Support Opioid & Drug Intervention; 10 Unduplicated Volunteers Will Be Recruited to Support Other Community Priorities Such as Support Local Law Enforcement Agencies and Community Benefit Organizations; 10 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Recruited and Trained to Support Disaster Services, and 5 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Recruited and Trained to Support Capacity Building of Local Organizations to Serve as High-functioning RSVP Sites. the CNCS Federal Investment of $82,500 Will Be Supplemented by a Minimum of $10,000 of Non-federal Resources.
