Project Narrative Executive Summary It Was Out of the Urgent Necessity to Address the Economic and Health Devastation of the Opioid Epidemic Along With the Current Lack of Available Resources to Do So That ALIGN9 Was Founded. the Primary Purpose Is to Align Resources for Those in the 9TH Judicial District of the State of Tennessee (roane, Loudon, Morgan and Meigs Counties) Suffering From the Effects of Substance Abuse Disorders, Lack of Healthcare Resources, Education, and the Economic and Legal Hurdles Resulting From Alcohol and Drug Addiction. Our Mission Is to Strengthen Communities Through Collaboration of Government Agencies, Non-government Organizations and the Faith-based Community. We Seek to Accomplish This Mission by Identifying Gaps in Services, Raising Awareness of Those Community Needs, Identify Community Volunteers Who Are Interested in Being Part of the Solution by Getting Involved in a Tangible Project to Meet the Community's Need. the RVSP Senior Corps Program for Morgan County Aligns With the Overall Mission of ALIGN9. an Estimated 75 RSVP Volunteers Willl Serve. of This Number, 75 Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include Addressing the Opioid/drug Epidemic Thru Prevention. Recovery Coaching/mentoring, Increasing Economic Opportunities Through Facilitation of Financial Literacy and Job Readiness Skills. RSVP Volunteers Will Also Work to Build Capacity to Address New Areas of Need Resulting From the Recent COVID-19 Epidemic. the Primary Focus Areas of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the Three-year Grant, Anticipated Outcomes Will Include Individuals With Increased Health Knowledge, Positive Changes in Behavior, Improved Health, Increased Access to Health Care Services and Increased Knowledge And/or Skills Related to Financial Literacy and Job Readiness. the CNS Federal Investment of $75,000 Annually Will Be Supplemented by $7,500.00 or 10% Match of Non-federal Resources.
