Metro Volunteers, D.b.a. Spark the Change Colorado, Is a Statewide, Nonprofit Organization Serving as the Rocky Mountain Region?s Leading Resource, Strategist, and Partner for Volunteerism, Service, and Engagement. Spark the Change Colorado Empowers Individuals, Organizations, and Communities With the Knowledge, Tools, Connections, and Guidance to Become a Driving Force for Positive Change. Over the Next Three Years, 75 RSVP Volunteers Will Serve in the RSVP Program of Huerfano County Operated by Spark the Change Colorado. All 75 RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures, With a Priority on Food Access. the Volunteer Activities Will Include Supporting Food Pantries by Stocking Shelves, Filling Bags and Boxes With Groceries and Delivering Food to Home-bound, Food Insecure People (many of Whom Are Elderly). as the Pandemic Subsides and Congregate Meal Sites Re-open to Once Again Provide Hot Meals for Low-income Older Adults, Activities Will Also Include Supporting Congregate Meal Sites by Serving Meals, Clearing Tables, and Greeting Guests. at the End of the Three-year Grant, We Hope to Achieve the Following Outcome: at Least __ of the __ Food Insecure Individuals Whom We Project to Serve Will Report Increased Food Security. the CNCS Federal Investment of $75,000 Will Be Supplemented by $15,992 in Non-federal Resources.
