We Are Proposing That Lifescape Community Services, Inc. (lifescape), Be Named as the Sponsoring Agency for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) in Lee County in the State of Illinois. an Estimated 156 RSVP Volunteers Will Serve. of This Number, 75 RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include Delivering Evidence-based Health Promotion Workshops, Providing Door-through-door Transportation to Older Adults, Delivering Meals Through the Meals on Wheels Program, Acting as Senior Companions, Performing Trail Remediation, Educating and Training the Public on Environmental Topics, and Other Activities. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. Furthermore, Lifescape Proposes to Include Several Funding Priorities, Including: Aging in Place -- Independent Living, Aging in Place -- Elder Justice, and Evidence-based Program Implementation. at the End of the Three-year Grant, 293 Individuals Will Report Having Increased Social Support or Capacity for Independent Living (H9A and H14), 450 Individuals Will Report Increased Food Security (H12), 95 Individuals Served Will Report a Change in Behavior or Intent to Change Behavior to Improve Their Health (H18), 283 Acres of Parks or Public Land Will Be Improved (EN4.1), 283 Miles of Trails or Rivers Will Be Improved (EN5.1), and 189 Individuals Will Report Increased Knowledge of Environmental Stewardship And/or Environmentally-conscious Practices (EN3.1). the CNCS Federal Investment of $75,000 Will Be Supplemented by $8,500 of State and Local Match.
