An Estimated 250 RSVP Volunteers Will Serve. of This Number, 75 Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Volunteer Activities Will Include Preparing and Delivering Meals to Frail Homebound Seniors in Our Four County Area, and Calling Homebound Seniors to Check on Them Daily. Our Primary Focus for This Grant Will Be Healthy Futures Concentrating on Aging in Place and Access to Care. We Will Also Address Food Insecurity Under Obesity and Food, by Placing RSVP Volunteers at Local Food Pantries. at the End of the Three-year Grant, We Anticipate RSVP Volunteers Will Have Served Over 850 Unduplicated Homebound Seniors Providing Nutritious Meals to Help Them Remain in Their Homes Longer and Help to Increase Their Feelings of Social Support. RSVP Volunteers Will Provide Piece of Mind to Homebound Seniors by Calling Them Daily to Check on Them, Increasing Their Social Support. RSVP Volunteers Will Provide Help to Seniors Through the Ship Program, Provide Respite to Caregivers, and Other Non-profits in Our Area. the CNCS Federal Investment of $75,000 Will Be Supplemented by $32314 in Matching Funds From the Sponsor, Local Businesses and Local Service Organizations.
