Linc ST. Charles County Non-profit Agency Established 1995 Will Be the Lead Agency. Linc Applied for the Relinquished Program That Existed in Area for Over 23 Years in 2018. an Estimated 32-40 Americorps Senior Volunteers Will Serve, and 32 Volunteers Will Be Placed in Measurable Outcomes. Americorps Seniors Federal Amount Request Is $204,876 and Will Be Supplemented by $20,488 at 10 Percent of Non-federal Match Through Community and Sponsor Support. Primary Focus Area Will Be Education. Activities Will Include COVID-19 Options in First Year and Anticipate Full-service Tutoring and Mentoring by 2ND and 3RD Year. Objectives Will Be K-12 Success, and School Readiness. Virtual Tutoring/mentoring Will Be Available as Volunteers Have Now Been Trained Overcome the Challenges of the Pandemic. Six School Districts Will Be Provided Service Through Americorps Volunteers. Currently Partnered With 17 Elementary Schools, and 6 Head Start and Daycare's. Projects Have Been Developed Through These Partners to Provide Service Through COVID-19 Pandemic Until Schools Are Open to Volunteers and the Vaccine Is Distributed Throughout to Assure Safety for All. Volunteers Are Eager to Get Back to Providing Full Service to Our Community Children as Our Schools Are Looking Forward to Having Them Back in the Schools and Head Starts. Until Then Volunteers Will Provide a Variety of Service to Our Schools and Sites, That Have Been Assessed Through the Community Need Feedback. Work-plans Are Still Being Aligned With the Americorps Guidance and Will Continue to Work With Our Stations to Provide the Current Needs and Collaborate Projects That Will Be Beneficial to Our Children. Some Data Was Not Collected Due to Pandemic to Reflect Final Numbers in Work Plans. as Our Area Is Opening Up and Vaccines Being Distributed the Areas in Some of the Work-plans Will Be Updated to Show Actual Results.
