Reading & Math, Inc. (RMI) Proposes to Have 312 Americorps Members Who Will Provide Service and Support to Deliver a Proven Academic Intervention Model to Economically Disadvantaged Students at Preschools and Schools in Florida, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. at the End of the First Program Year, the Americorps Members Will Be Responsible for Helping 5,948 Students Age 3 to Grade 8 to Become Prepared for Kindergarten, On-track to Read Proficiently by Third Grade, and Algebra-ready by Eighth Grade. in Addition, the Americorps Members Will Leverage 100 Community Volunteers, Who Will Be Engaged in Education Enrichment for Students and Families. This Program Will Focus on the CNCS Focus Area of Education. the CNCS Investment of $3,325,200 Will Be Matched With $3,084,522, $2,784,522 in Public Funding and $300,000 in Private Funding.
