Executive Summary Handson Central California, a Points of Light Affiliate for Over 66 Years, Operates RSVP in Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare Counties, and Strives to Fulfill Its Mission of to Inspire, Equip and Mobilize Volunteers to Serve Their Communities With Sponsorship of the RSVP Since 2000. in 2020, an Estimated 300 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Serve With RSVP of Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare Counties. of This Number, 280 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include Food and Nutrition Support, Opioid and Drug Prevention, Education K-12 Success, Disaster Preparation, and Supporting Other Community Priorities. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures With Objectives in the Areas of Obesity and Food and Access to Care. at Least 250 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Support Food and Nutrition Programs Where at the End of the Three-year Grant, at Least 100,000 Individuals Will Be Served With at Least 30,000 Reporting Increased Food Security. a Minimum of 10 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Recruited and Trained to Support Opioid & Drug Intervention Workshops With at Least 500 Individuals Being Served and at Least 250 Individuals Reporting Increased Health Knowledge With a Focus on the Dangers, Proper Use, Proper Storage, and Proper Disposal of Opioid Medications. a Minimum of 10 Unduplicated Volunteers Will Be Recruited to Support Education K-12 Success With at Least 50 Students Being Served and at Least 25 Students Showing Increased Academic Engagement or Social Emotional Learning Gains in School. a Minimum of 10 Unduplicated Volunteers Will Be Recruited and Trained to Support Disaster Preparation Serving at Least 50 Individuals With at Least 25 Individuals Reporting Increased Disaster Preparedness. a Minimum of 20 Unduplicated Volunteers Will Be Recruited to Support Other Community Priorities to Support Local Law Enforcement Agencies, Local Arts Agencies, and Act as Ambassadors to Our Region While Manning Visitors' Centers and Information Desks in Local Municipal Agencies With the Expected Outcome Being That Other Community Priorities Had Been Met. the CNCS Federal Investment of $186,433 Will Be Supplemented by $79,899.96 of Non-federal Resources.
