Handson Central California, a Points of Light Affiliate for Over 66 Years and RSVP Sponsor Since 2000, Currently Sponsors RSVP in Fresno, Madera, Kings and Tulare Counties, and Strives to Fulfill Its Mission of to Inspire, Equip and Mobilize Volunteers to Serve Their Central Valley Communities With Sponsorship of an New RSVP in Stanislaus County. One Hundred and Fifty Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers in 2020 Will Serve With RSVP of Stanislaus County. of This Number, 110 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include Food and Nutrition Support, Opioid and Drug Prevention, Aging in Place, and Supporting Other Community Priorities. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures With Objectives in the Areas of Obesity and Food, Access to Care, and Aging in Place. at Least 90 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Support Food and Nutrition Programs Where at the End of the Three-year Grant, at Least 5,000 Individuals Will Be Served With at Least 1,000 Reporting Increased Food Security. at Least 10 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Recruited and Trained to Support Opioid & Drug Intervention Workshops With at Least 200 Individuals Being Served and at Least 100 Individuals Reporting Increased Health Knowledge With a Focus on the Dangers, Proper Use, Proper Storage, and Proper Disposal of Opioid Medications. at Least 40 Unduplicated Volunteers Will Be Recruited to Support Other Community Priorities to Support Local Law Enforcement Agencies and Community Benefit Organizations With an Expected Outcome Being That Other Community Priorities Had Been Met. at Least 10 Unduplicated RSVP Volunteers Will Be Recruited and Trained to Support Aging in Place Serving at Least 50 Individuals Being Served With at Least 25 Reporting Increased Social Support or Improved Capacity for Independent Living. the CNCS Federal Investment of $82,500 Will Be Supplemented by $9,166.67 of Non-federal Resources.
