An Estimated 300 RSVP Volunteers Will Serve. of This Number, 300 RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Their Activities Will Include: Meals on Wheels, Delivering Meals to Seniors and People With Disabilities; Volunteer Driver Program, Providing Transportation to Medical and Other Appointments for Seniors and People With Disabilities; and Volunteer Trail Stewardship, Maintaining and Rebuilding Trails in At-risk Ecosystems. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the Three-year Grant, Nco Anticipates the Following Healthy Futures Outcome: 86% of People Who Receive Services Through Meals on Wheels and 100% of the People Who Receive Services Through the Volunteer Driver Program Will Report Having Increased Social Support or Improved Capacity for Independent Living (NPM H9A). the CNCS Federal Investment of $97,622 Per Year Will Be Supplemented by $77,091 in Cash and In-kind Matching Contributions Over the Three-year Grant Period. Through Its Community Action Programming, North Coast Opportunities (NCO) Focuses Its Efforts on the Broad Themes of Self-empowerment and Alleviation of Poverty. Working With 300 Volunteers, the RSVP Humboldt and Del Norte Counties-nco Project Will Utilize Evidence-based Practices and Incorporate an Emphasis on Independent Living (aging in Place) and Environmental Stewardship.
