An Estimated 598 RSVP Volunteers Will Serve. of This Number, 534 RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include Mentoring At-risk Youth, Training Community Emergency Response Team Members, Providing Income Tax Preparation Assistance, Delivering Meals to Home Bound Seniors, Tutoring Students, Maintaining Fragile Eco-systems While Maintaining Hiking Trails, and Fall Prevention Exercise Coaching. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of This Grant Year, North Coast Opportunities (NCO) Anticipates That 85% of Low-income People Participating in Food Distribution That Are Supported by RSVP Volunteers Will Report Increased Food Security(outcome H12). the CNCS Federal Investment of $173.782 Will Be Supplemented by $86,442 in Cash and In-kind Matching Contributions. Through Its Community Action Programming, Nco Focuses Its Efforts on a Broad Theme of Self-empowerment and Alleviation of Poverty. in Keeping With This Theme, Nco Will Continue Offering a Wide Range of Volunteer Opportunities for Local Seniors. Working With 534 Volunteers, the Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino Counties RSVP 2020-2021 Project Will Address Five National Service Focus Areas (healthy Futures, Environment, Economic Opportunity, Education, and Disaster Services), and Utilize Evidence-based and Evidence Informed Practices, Incorporating a Focus on Intergenerational Programming and Aging in Place.
