An Estimated 200 RSVP Volunteers Will Serve Through the Adrc of Oneida County and Various RSVP Stations. of This Number, at Least 150 Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Primary Activities Will Include Delivery of Home Delivered Meals, Congregate Dining, and Transportation for Medical and Nutritional Purposes. Additional Volunteer Opportunities to Be Developed Will Include Assistance at Food Pantry Distribution Sites, Tax Preparation Assistance and Other Services That Assist Older Adults to Remain Successfully at Home and Avoid Institutionalization. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Will Be Healthy Futures: Aging in Place. at the End of the Three-year Grant, 300 Individuals Will Have Reported Increased Social Support or Improved Capacity for Independent Living. a Similar Number of Caregivers of Older Adults and Individuals With Disabilities Will Have Reported Increased Social Support. This Application Is for Opportunity WI-2X for Oneida County, Wisconsin. Oneida County Is Home to Approximately 35,000 Residents, of Whom Over 30% Are Age 60 or Older. Oneida County Population Is Distributed Widely Over a Number of Municipalities, the Largest Being Rhinelander, Wi Followed by the Towns of Minocqua and Woodruff. Smaller Localities Like Sugar Camp, Three Lakes, Hazelhurst, and Lake Tomahawk Have Populations Which Are Widely Spread. Oneida County Is a Rural County. as a New Project, the Adrc Will Also Focus on Building Capacity Within the County Aimed at Developing the Volunteer Pool, Training, and Systems Development. the CNCS Federal Investment of $82,500 Will Be Supplemented by a Minimum of $8,250 in Match Through Staff Wages/fringe and In-kind Volunteer Time. Match in 2020 Will Be at Least $16,500 and $24,750 Thereafter From the Same Sources. Additional Financial Support Will Be From Title Iii-b Older Americans Act Funding in the Amount of $15,784. Title Iii-b Funding Is Not Match Funding for This Application, But Supports Programming That Will Run in Conjunction With RSVP. (volunteer In-kind Hours Valued at $9.00 Per Hour Currently Exceeds $100,000 Per Year.) Other Support Will Be Sought From Charitable Organizations Like United Way and the Howard Young Foundation.
