It Is Anticipated That 360 RSVP Volunteers in Adams and Webster Counties in Nebraska Will Be Serving at the End of the Three Year Grant Period. of This Number, 180 RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Based Assignments. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. Some of the Volunteer's Activities Will Include Services That Allow Individuals to Age in Place by Providing Independent Living Assistance, Including: Providing Transportation to Those Unable to Drive, Delivering Meals to Shut-ins, and Providing Companionship to Area Seniors. Our Volunteers Will Also Address the Community Need of Hunger by Sorting, Packaging and Distributing Food in Local Pantries and Food Banks. at the End of the Three-year Grant Period It Is Anticipated That 160 Seniors Will Indicate That They Have Increased Social Support Due to Receiving Transportation, Nutritional Support, and Companionship Services From RSVP Volunteers. It Is Also Anticipated That 400 Individuals With Food Security Concerns Will Indicate That They Have Increased Food Security Due to Receiving Food From One of the Stations Where RSVP Volunteers Serve. the CNCS Federal Investment of $65,058 Will Be Supplemented by $31,762 in Non-federal Resources.
