This Grant Application Is for Northeast Iowa RSVP 55+ Initiative and Covers Three Counties: Allamakee, Howard, and Winneshiek. an Estimated 250 RSVP Volunteers Will Serve. of This Number, 149 RSVP Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include Economic Opportunity/financial Literacy/income Tax Tutoring, Healthy Futures/aging in Place/food Delivery, Healthy Futures/obesity and Food/food Pantry, Capacity Building/capacity Building and Leverage/donations Management, Other Community Priorities in Addition to Aging in Place/elder Justice. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the Three-year Grant, Priority Focus Area Healthy Futures Outputs Will Report That Approximately 25 Homebound or Older Adults and Individuals With Disabilities Received Meals Allowing Them to Live Independently, and 18 of Them Will Report Having Increased Social Support as a Result of the Meal Delivery. in Addition, Approximately 300 Families Who Attend the Decorah Community Food Pantry Will Complete Surveys and 75% of Them Will Report an Increased Feeling of Food Security. the CNCS Federal Investment of $47,500 Will Be Supplemented by $68,883 of Non-federal Resources. This Will Include In-kind Donations of Office Space, Including All Utilities, Janitorial Services, Internet, Telephone, Staff Supervision, and Technology Administration. We Also Receive Limited Local Funding Through Winneshiek County United Way, County Funding From Each of the Three Counties, Local Grants, and Foundations.
