The Sponsoring Organization Is Community Services Center (CSC). Community Services Center Is a Non-profit Multi-service Center That Has Been Providing Services in Roosevelt County Since 1965, Hosting the Foster Grandparent Program Since 1981. the Center Provides Services and Expanded Opportunities for Children, Youth, Families, and the Elderly of Portales and Roosevelt County. the Mission of Community Services Center (CSC) Is to Provide On-going Opportunities to Empower All of the People of Roosevelt County to Collaborate in Reducing Community Problems. This Enlightened Concept Will Become the Norm of the Community.an Estimated 8 Foster Grandparent Volunteers Will Serve in the Community of Roosevelt County. of This Number 8 Volunteers Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include, Tutoring, Out-of-school Time, Summer Learning and Out of Classroom Support.the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Education. at the End of the 3-YEAR Grant, the Foster Grandparent Volunteers Will Have Addressed the Needs of the Community by Meeting or Exceeding the Outcomes; Number of Children Demonstrating Gains in School Readiness and Number of Students With Improved Academic Performance.the CNCS Federal Investment of $24,407 Will Be Supplemented by $58,984 in Non-federal Resources.
