The Kansas City Foster Grandparents (KCFGP) Program of Jackson, Clay, and Platte Counties Sponsored by Reconciliation Services (RS) Will Have an Estimated 86 Volunteers Serving Annually During This Grant Period. of This Number, 99% of Kcfgps Will Be Serving in Outcome-based Assignments. Our Program Service Activities in the Primary Focus Area of Education Include School-based Mentoring, Assisting Children in the Classroom, and Comforting Children With Special or Exceptional Needs. at the End of the Three-year Grant Period, Our Estimated 90+ Kcfgp Volunteers Will Serve Nearly 267,000 Service Hours and Provide Person-to-person Support to Around 775 Youth. the Valuable Services Provided by Kcfgps Enables Young People to Improve Socially, Emotionally, and Academically. in Addition, Active Participation in the Kcfgp Program Helps Our Aging Seniors Combat Social Isolation and Contributes to Their Improved Physical and Mental Health. the CNCS Federal Investment of $480,410, Including the Much Anticipated Stipend Increase, and $4,000 Increase Is Supplemented by $53,379 of Non-federal Resources.
