The Sponsoring Organization Is Community Services Center (CSC). CSC Is a Non-profit Multi-service Center That Has Been Providing Services in Roosevelt County Since 1965, Hosting the SCP Program Since 1985. the Center Provides Services & Expanded Opportunities for Children, Youth, Families, & the Elderly of Portales & Roosevelt County. the Mission of CSC (CSC) Is to Provide On-going Opportunities to Empower All of the People of Roosevelt County to Collaborate in Reducing Community Problems. This Enlightened Concept Will Become the Norm of the Community. an Estimated 24 SCP Volunteers Will Serve in Roosevelt & Curry County. of This Number 24 SCPS Will Be Placed in Outcome Assignments. Some of Their Activities Will Include Companionship, Nutrition/food Support & Respite Services. the Primary Focus Area of This Project Is Healthy Futures. at the End of the Three-year Grant, the SCP Program (SCP) Volunteers Will Have Addressed the Needs of the Community by Meeting or Exceeding the Outcomes; Number of Individuals Who Report Having Increased Social Support or Improved Capacity for Independent Living. the CNCS Federal Investment Is $6192 and Will Be Supplemented by the New Mexico Aging & Long-term Services Department (nmaltsd) Investment of $142,260. in Addition, CSC Has Funding Available Through Local Share (.24%, $342) to Supplement Where There May Be Budget Shortfalls.
