An Estimated 59 Senior Companion Program Volunteers Will Serve a Three County Area in Northern Utah Providing 61,596 Hours of Service or 59 Volunteer Service Years (vsys). Some of Their Activities Will Include: Companionship, Assisted Transportation, Assistance With Daily Tasks, and Respite. the Primary Focus Area Is Healthy Futures: Independent Living and Respite Care. at the End of the Three-year Grant, 90 Companionship Clients Will Report Having Increased Social Support and 40 Respite Caregivers Will Report Having Increased Social Ties and Perceived Social Support. the CNCS Federal Investment of $384,281 Will Be Supplemented by $95,133 of Non-federal Funds.
