The Project Aims to De-risk ARBOR'S Advanced Biomass Gasification Approach by Developing an Analytical Model to Support the Successful Deployment of a Novel High-pressure Energy Conversion System. This Work Will Reduce the Technical Risk Associated With Scaling Up the Gasification Process and Facilitate More Rapid Commercialization of the Technology. the Project Will Conduct Bench-scale Reactor Research to Build a Comprehensive Database and Develop an Analytical Predictive Model Based on the Results. This Model Will Enable a Deeper Understanding of the Chemical and Process Parameters Required to Scale Up the Core Gasifier Technology. the Model Will Be Validated With Experimental Data and Will Inform the Design of the Next Generation of Technology. Foundational Work Such as Achieving Operating Pressures Over 110 Bar Using a Superficial Working Fluid Has Already Been Demonstrated by the Team. the Project Supports the Conversion of Low-value, Non-merchantable Forestry Residues Into Baseload Energy and Other High-value Outputs.
