Duringthis Research Effort Phygen Coatings, Inc., With the Assistance of the Usda-ars Cotton Ginning Research Unit, Will Investigate Lowering Energy Consumption of the Cotton Gin Standand Improving the Lifespan of Critical Componentsof Thecotton Gin Standby Applyinglow Friction and Wear Resistant Coatings to Cotton Gin Standcomponentsusing Our Proprietary Fortiphy XVD Technology.the Phase I Research Effort Will Investigate Multiple Different Surface Finishand Coating Combinations to Fully Understand the Effect That the Frictionof Cotton Gin Standcomponents Has on the Energy Consumption of the Cotton Gin Stand. the Components Will First Be Processed, Coated, and Quality Testedby Phygen Coatings, Inc. Next,the Energy Consumptionof the Cotton Gin Standusing These Coated Componentswill Be Measuredby the Cotton Ginning Research Unit Using Theirtest Cotton Gin.
